THE VIRGINS CONFIRM ACADEMY DATE The Virgins have announced a Dublin date on their forthcoming tour at The Academy on 25 April. Tickets priced €15 incl. booking fee are on sale at all usual Ticketmaster outlets from tomorrow, 16 January.
The New Yorkers are causing quite a stir with their brand of New Wave/indie music since the release of their self titled debut EP in 2007. Their song Rich Girls was included in Rolling Stones list of the Best Songs of 2008.
Formed in 2005 by front-man Donald Cumming, The Virgins have toured with bands like Jet and the Pigeon Detectives and opened for Sonic Youth and Patti Smith. Following their performance at last years SXSW festival in
The Virgins new single, Teen Lovers, gets its Irish release on 13th February with their eponymous debut LP release due on 10 April.
